ALFIO SORGATO
Outright winner in 1996, 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2003, on a Morini Sport 175 cc.
Born in Padua, February 19, 1934, Alfio Sorgato had a long career behind him studded with victories, especially in the reliability and uphill competitions. Just to cite some of the successes of Sorgato over the last years, we remember his first place at the 1994 Milan-Taranto race, the many above-mentioned triumphs in the Motogiro of Italy, besides his victory at the Triveneto Motoraid Championship from 1994 to 2001, and to which we can add at least dozens of uphill races which ended in outright victory. Unfortunately Alfio Sorgato died recently. He will always be remembered for his tenacity and great passion for motorbikes.
