Itinerary
The historical Vintage event of Motogiro d’Italia is the most exciting and passionate vintage motor bike race in Italy. This years event is taking a step back into its past editions.
Bologna, is a city of tradition and aristical heritage, it is also symbolically, “the land of motors”. The IX edition of Motogiro d’Italia will have riders start this years competition from Bologna.
The race, a 5 day event, will see riders travel, roughly 200 km each day, riding on the same roads of the historical “Mille Miglia” and the first editions of Motogiro d’Italia.
Bologna to Treviso, and back to Bologna; exploring the regions of Emilia Romagna, Lombardia, Veneto, Trentino Alto Adige, and Friuli Venezia Giulia.
During the race, riders will ride through the extraordinary region of the Ville Vente situated between, lakes and lagoons, travel across flat country, to then finally reach the Alps.
Cities that will be visited: Treviso, known as the city of water. At Treviso you will find portico ways that run along side its streets, homes with picturesque facades. The country side has charm and eloquence due to the many towns situated on hill-tops. The region is renowned for its culinary tradition, in particular: its wines and, the “fiore rosso d’inverno”, (red vegetable grown during the winter) known as Radicchio. Trieste is one of Italy’s many cosmopolitan cities. Over the centuries its beauty has hypnotised great artists of its cultural and artistical heritage. To mention but a few, masterpieces such as, Piazza Unità d’Italia and Castello Miramare. The sea and the Gulf are an integral part of the Triestinian way of life, Its’ vitality stems from here.
The Motogiro convoy will return to hit the streets of The Dolomites, Cortina, Trento, Rovereto, after a few years. Then heading south towards the River Po Delta, to triumphantly return to Bologna.
